Watauga Medical Center is a 117-bed, not for profit facility; which is also a Level III Trauma Center. We see approximately 20,000 ER visits per year. For it´s size WMC is more technologically advanced then many hospitals that have 300+ beds. Some of our state of the art facilities include: 64 slice and 6 slice CT Scanners, digital mammography, open and closed MRI´s and an IGRT/IMRT linear accelerator. We have spared no expense in building a new Wellness Center as well as renovating the Emergency Room (18 months ago).

The Emergency Room is equipped with:
•20 Exam Rooms (2 trauma) • Fast Track capability • PACS • EMR • Ultrasound
• X-Ray • Nursing Staff and Specialist Support 2nd to none
